Through our mammograms matter health initiative, barbaraCares is committed to expanding access to mammography screenings for communities at risk, underserved, and unable to afford health screenings. the Love Yourself Mammogram Event is one of a series of targeted outreach efforts bringing healthcare to the "doorsteps" of those that need it most. 2022 BarbaraCares March for Mammograms
the BarbaraCares Foundation hosts our annual March For Mammograms event to both raise awareness of breast cancer and funding for supportive services for indiviuals at risk. This special community fun run/walk can be enjoyed in your own neighborhood, your favorite park, or trail. We will walk EVERYWHERE FOR EVERYONE! this year the race was held at trinity park in fort worth and kicked off with grand marshal sonia azad - wfaa health and wellness reporter.

“Caring Conversations” forum presented by BarbaraCares. This forum is part of our expanding Mammograms Matter Health Initiative; where we provide local residents the opportunity to gain understanding about risks of breast cancer, action plans, and the importance of routine screening. Our aim is to remove all barriers to care by bringing access directly to the people!

Every attendee received a medical binder, a take home self-breast kit, a resource guide and everyone had the opportunity to ask vital questions concerning their health. each participant also had the chance to sign up for a free mammogram screening onsite.
The "Caring conversation" forum will take place in several select zip codes throughout tarrant county over the course of the next 9 months in a 3 part series.

Kicking off breast cancer awareness month, barbaracares teamed up with several local buisnesses to host a candle-making fundraiser in support of breast cancer patients and caregivers here in Texas. the event allowed a fun space for individuals to tap into their creativity while supporting a good cause.
OCtober breast cancer awareness COMMUNITY EVENTs and appearences October is always a busy time at barbaracares. our schedule consists of local community events, numerous mammogram outreach efforts, media appearences, our large care2fight healthfair presented by barbaracares, and neighborhood canvasing to spread awareness.
