COVID-19 OUTREACH 2020
The coronavirus pandemic has caused many within the community to be without adequate personal protection equipment designed to keep them safe. The BarbaraCares Foundation in collaboration with several organizations and partnerships immediately began to supply breast cancer patients, caregivers, churches and communities at risk per CDC guidelines with much needed items such as: masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, disinfecting wipes and more. We are humbled for the opportunity to give back in our efforts to promote health and safety.

MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION 2020
This Mother's Day the BarbaraCares Foundation wanted to honor several breast cancer survivors and those currently in active treatment by celebrating them on Mother's Day! We received many submissions and nominations of deserving individuals. We were truly excited to surprise these lucky individuals on a special day!
Barbaracares summer give back!
The BarbaraCares Summer Give Back in partnership with Cuisine For Healing will provide FREE healthy meals to breast cancer patients in Tarrant County. We understand the enormity of this journey and we count it a honor to help those in the fight by providing healthy nutritional food items while patients are in treatment. The Foundation provides weeks worth of food items to help lessen the burden for those recovering from surgery and too weak to go grocery shopping after chemo.
2020 "CARE2FIGHT" HEALTH & WELLNESS Initiative :
covid-19 outreach
October typically marks the time of our annual "Care2Fight Health & Wellness Fair." However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's health objective was to ensure the community and those at-risk per CDC guidelines (including breast cancer patients) had vital personal protection equipment (PPE) to keep themselves safe during the COVID pandemic. BarbaraCares in partnership with Tarrant County, United Way of Tarrant County and Parkside Missionary Baptist Church provided COVID-19 Care Packages to Businesses, Agencies, Nonprofits, Churches, and At-Risk Individuals in Tarrant County. We are grateful to give back and for the opportunity to promote health and wellness!
mile 1,000 - october 2020 - april 2021
The BarbaraCares Foundation accepts the challenge! Can we walk a mile in someone else's shoes perhaps not, but we can AND will walk a mile in solidarity of those fighting breast cancer and for those that fought! Every mile represents our commitment to the journey and our dedication to provide supportive services for patients and caregivers in Texas.
