BarbaraCares is offering FREE Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to individuals, local businesses and organizations October 2020 through March 2021 while supplies last to protect at-risk groups against COVID-19. Scheduled dates are posted online via our website/social media and emailed to community partners. To receive PPE, eligible individuals and businesses must fill out a PPE Request Form. Once you submit the request form, you will be emailed instructions to pick up your items.
Instructions:
The BarbaraCares Care2Fight Health Initiative is designed to get much needed items into the hands of those with greatest vulnerability here in our communities. By equipping individuals and organizations, we do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. These actions can be a direct result that saves lives here in Texas. All items are provided on a first-come, first serve basis while supplies last. Requests are open for both at-risk populations per CDC guidelines and businesses/organizations that cater to at-risk populations. Caregivers are also allowed to fill out a request form for PPE. Must be 18 years or older to fill out the form. Pick up days/times are set; if you are not able to pick up the items, we are not able to ship them. Multiple requests are allowed for businesses/agencies. Individuals needing additional items, are welcome to fill out multiple request forms but to ensure we are able to reach the max amount of persons here in the metroplex, individuals may be placed on a waiting list if they have already requested items once within a 2-month period. To pick up items, you will need to present an ID/Drivers License and verify the name or business. Items not picked up on the designated date will be held until the next pickup day; at that time if the PPE is not retrieved, the request form will be voided and a new form will have to be completed. Volunteers will follow all social distancing guidelines to ensure a contact-less pickup protocol; items will be loaded into your vehicle and we ask that you exit the site. Although BarbaraCares serves the entire state of Texas, for this particular effort only residents in the designated area can apply. This outreach is not in conjunction with any other services offered through the BarbaraCares Foundation. The Care2Fight Health Initiative is open to all CDC defined at-risk groups for COVID-19 in Tarrant County. Other programs and services offered through the foundation that are not a part of this program are likewise subject to applicable groups outlined in the description details. For any additional questions or concerns please email: [email protected]. BarbaraCares has implemented the following criteria which must be met to establish eligibility for PPE items. If you meet the guidelines, you qualify.
